The Patton Museum Volunteers
in Atlanta

June 16 - 18, 2005
In the last several years, Mike Criscillis, director of the Army of Atlanta Museum at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia, has invited volunteers from other museums and reenacting groups to bring their vehicles and equipment and come to Atlanta to participate in a two-day battle reenactment at Fort McPherson and Fort Gillem. The reenactment at Fort McPherson is performed on the outskirts of the pristine parade ground in the center of the post. It consists of a small recreation of the Siege of Atlanta with Civil War soldiers and artillery and a World War II tank and infantry battle with air support.
