On February 12, volunteers Don Moriarty and Garry Redmon successfully broke track on the right side of the Panzer IV.

Being exposed to the elements for over 40 years has rusted and locked the track links together.

Garry Redmon attempts to work the track free from the idler.

On March 4, volunteers Moriarty and Redmon, with the valuable help of restoration specialist Steve Wise, break track on the left side using an acetylene torch and elbow grease.

On March 12, restoration specialist O.B. Edens pulled the track off the right side of the Panzer IV. Here, on March 14, with O.B.'s help, the volunteers were able to pull the other side off.

Both tracks have been removed. The left side proved more difficult because of a locked drive sprocket.

The track displays the heavy rust and corrosion from many years of exposure.
