On January 27, Don Moriarty and O.B. Edens removed the reversed bogie station. It was hoped that when the bogie was removed, damage to the hull would be revealed that would help explain why this replacement bogie was put on backwards.

Unfortunately, no damage was revealed, although three of the mounting studs were broken at some point in the past (circled in red). One can now see the factory base coat of paint.

Afterwards, O.B. removed the return rollers and track guide brackets of the other bogie assemblies.

Return rollers and guide brackets are piled on the floor of the work shop.

The reversed bogie has been set aside until it is time to restore it.

On February 6, during a scheduled work day, many bolts were removed from two of the right side bogies. Here Coleman Gusler works at removing one of the bolts.
