As Don was trying to place a jack underneath the left front bogie, he
discovered something between the swing arms on the bogie. Charles takes
a look for himself.
|

Apparently, a shipping tie-down implement was constructed and placed between
the swing arms of both front bogies so that Cobra King could be tied down
while aboard ship.
|
|

Charles examines
the right tie-down shackle. This discovery was totally unexpected and
apparently Cobra King has had these tie-downs ever since she was shipped
to France in 1944.
|

Both shackles
are removed. One apparatus is separated on the right, and the other has
been recombined on the left. Cobra King is still revealing her secrets.
