On September 23, 2009 worked continued on Cobra King. Here Don Moriarty works on loosening the bolts holding the commander's cupola.

O.B. Edens helps Don with the bolts. Unfortunately, the cupola resisted all attempts to remove it that day.

The belly escape hatch was cleaned of dirt and corrosion on a previous work day.

Demonstrating how uncomfotable it is to work in tight spaces, Don is leaning over the transmission housing into the the driver's space to clean out debris in the floor.

Don and Garry Redmon removed the turret traverse hydraulic pump from the turret basket. The wedge-shaped gunner's firing pedal is just to the right still connected to the pump.

Garry after lifting the pump onto the turret basket floor. Small accomplishments like these are moments to enjoy.

More archeological finds by Don. Inside the tub are a World War II German spoon and fork combination implement found in the driver's area. Also found was a paint brush and vision block for the periscopes.

O.B. shows off one of his finds, a small pry bar.
