On September 16, 2009 more objects were found in Cobra King's belly. A bottle of post-war German beer made by Grüner Braü.

The belly is full of debris. This is located in the floor under the turret basket. The metal bulkhead center right is a field-fabricated support for one of the 76mm ammo racks.

Ammo racks were removed from the wet stowage boxes under the turret basket.

On September 19, 2009 the bow gunner's seat was removed.

The driver's seat was also removed along with some of the flooring.

Patton Museum volunteer Jim Tucker grinds off the welds on the commander's hatch.

After the welds and the hatch pin were removed, the hatch was hoisted away by curator Charles Lemons and volunter Coleman Gusler.
