On Friday, April 23, 2010, Robert "Stick" Decker begins to paint the camouflage pattern using photos of the 251 in its original color scheme as a guide.

After applying the red brown, Stick begins spraying on the dark green.

Robert attempts to match as closely as possible the pattern from the photograph.

Most camouflage patterns were applied in the field by the crews or maintenance personnel. Pattern choices were up to the CO or individuals doing the painting.

The camouflage is complete. The white areas on the nose are for the vehicle's serial number and unit crest. Tactical numbers and other stenciling still have to be applied.

Work continued on Saturday, April 24, by the volunteers. In this photo, interior elements such as the ammo box, crew bench and other items have been installed.
